Nathan didn’t want to come out of his bed, just like any other day. Today was the same typical cold November Monday morning in Coventry. He hated his alarm in the mobile, but unfortunately he got own work to do as well.
Slowly, he dragged himself out of the bed and sat on his arm chair. His room was a dull, small room. He had a study table was made out of an old teak wood with a night lamp on it. There were many books scattered across the table of which Nathan himself didn’t know how much of it belongs to him. He looked hung over from Sunday night party having had more than eight pints of his favourite lager – Carling.
He covered himself with the quilt and was staring at his cot which was totally shabby. He saw his shirt, trousers and Jacket in the cot and realised he was sleeping over it all night. He did not know what he was thinking. He was probably thinking about what to think!!
A typical ‘hang-over day’ start.
He pulled himself together and staggered himself to get ready for work.
He was living alone in his old single room apartment. The house definitely needed a good sweep. If people from Channel 4 saw his house, they would make more money for their show “How clean is your House?” The house itself showed that Nathan lived alone. Well for a man in his late 30’s - to live alone- is not something that is totally new in this country, but he definitely had a flash back of his own. He did his graduation in political science and he is an excellent writer as well. His thirst towards English and the history of UK led to what he is doing currently – An active executive member of NPB (National Party of Britain). But his university sweet heart, who he married, did not last long. Their relationship strained since the day he started job and finally it came to an end but only after an astonishingly ten years of “adjusting with each other”. For the past five years Nathan has been living alone and has been making money through the agenda he writes, propaganda he makes for NPB and held a good position in the party’s Coventry Office. One of the reasons, his ex didn’t like his job was because of his disability to grow as an individual in the party’s organisation. For somebody who has worked for the party for 15 years, one would expect to be in a top position. But this is politics, patience and perseverance is as important as hard and donkey works. Nathan was ready to play the waiting game. He thought reaching the top position in the NPB party was more important than his relationship with his (ex) sweet heart.
Nathan got ready for another typical day’s work. He wore a white striped shirt with a shiny red tie and a black shoes-->semi polished. He grabbed his jacket and took his car keys after searching the whereabouts of it (of course he still feeling the pinch of his lager). Usually, on a hangover morning he is too lazy to make his own toasts and drives to the nearest place where he could get some English breakfast. Today was no different.
There was a BIG reason why he always chose the English Breakfast Centre-a shop- which was a stone’s throw away from his place........

Preface
I was looking for a Novel idea to write a novel. Then I thought it would be great to express my novel through my own Blog.
The characters and incidents in this novel, named "A White Incident", is purely fictional. Any coherence in real life is just a coincidence.
I would be updating the blog every week. So, makes you feel like reading a TV Series.
I would try to do my utmost to ensure that the novel has equal balance of pace, philosophy and realtime feel to it. In return, I would expect you to open your imagination wide, when you log into my blog.
Many thanks for being here.
Hope you have an incredible journey with my story.
With regards,
Nick Shanks
